If you’re a tourist hopefully there won’t be the need to seek any medical advice while in Thailand
but as residents there comes a time when sadly.
We all must pay a trip to the doc and it would be nice to know we’re in safe hands.
The island of Phuket offers seven hospitals in total,
two international standard hospitals in Phuket town (Bangkok Phuket International Hospital and Phuket International Hospital)
and the other health centers being government hospitals.
However there seems to be a distinct lack of true ambulances on the island,
the majority of times private vehicles are being used in emergencies,
although it’s comforting to know that with this many hospitals in one province,
you’ll never have to travel too far.
On the other hand, those who find them selves in the awful predicament of being in dense jungle,
on cliff faces or out at sea in an emergency,
will be glad to hear there are helicopters and speedboats available.

The quality of service in Phuket hospitals is outstanding.
Europe could learn a lot from Thailand with regards to healthcare.
Phuket hospitals offer treatments to foreign tourists,
foreign residents as well as the Thai population itself.
The greatest advantages of hospitals in Phuket compared to the western world however,
apart from being absolutely immaculate are the minimal waiting times usually no longer than a few minutes with low cost hospital services to match and not to forget that cute Thai smile. |

like so many believe before visiting this beautiful country for the first time.
Phuket hospitals are highly experienced in virtually every specialty of medicine and surgery including open-heart surgery,
keyhole surgery and hip and knee replacement.

liposuction and breast augmentation in addition to skin specialists using non surgical treatments such as Botox and the inclusion of in-house specialized dentists as well. |
